Abstract:
Today’s fast-paced, global business environment, coupled with the ever-growing challenge of a rapidly changing workforce, requires a well-planned, rigorous approach to employee’s commitment. This study sought to investigate the effect of employee resourcing on employee’s commitment in the Tele-communications industry. The study adopted a mixed research design and targeted all the telecommunication branches in Mount Kenya region that are managed by the shop manager being the top most managers in the branch. Primary data was collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using inferential statistics and processed using SPSS Version 22 and multiple regression analysis used to establish the relations between the independent and dependent variables. Chi- square was used to test the hypothesis and was based on the alpha level or the significance level and results presented in the form of tables, graphs, and charts. Results showed that employee resourcing had a positive and significant effect on employees’ commitment. It is recommended that organizations should focus on employee resourcing as a major strategic human resource management practice to ensures organizations get quality human capital that contribute effectively to employee commitment
